The inspiration behind Crystal Lotus

Greetings! My name is Lindsey Wendt and I am the owner and creator of Crystal Lotus Veterinary Care.

I have been a veterinarian for 10 years, and my professional and personal journey has led me to create this beautiful experience that I would love to share with you and your pet!

I graduated with honors from UC Davis Veterinary School with a focus in zoological medicine. Wanting to be closer to my husband and family, I moved back to Los Angeles and completed an intensive one-year internship at one of the most prestigious private hospitals in the country where my hard work was recognized by my colleagues and staff as being named Intern of the Year.

My fur child (Nala) was diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease in January of 2020, and for the first time, I found myself in the shoes of a frustrated pet parent. She wasn't responding to conventional therapy as she should, I was suffering from caregiver and compassion fatigue simultaneously and I wanted to do anything and everything I could to help her regain her happy healthy life.

This led me to explore integrative medicine and other healing modalities, which has allowed us to both elevate our health to a position that I never could have imagined, and I want to be able to share that gift with other families.

I found that by using my medical acumen in combination with my intuition and open-minded nature in exploring treatments that aren't taught in conventional education that I was able to customize Nala's care to her.

During Nala’s recovery, I often reflected on how grateful I was to be able to explore other modalities to customize her healing journey. I realized that I wanted to be able to help others like myself- people that love their pets so much that they would do anything, and are just looking for the resources to provide the ultimate well-rounded customized health care.

Since that time, I have continued to elevate my practice and have utilized my skill set and tools to heal the pets under my care. I am eternally grateful to have found such passion for my craft and look forward to all of the pets and families that I will continue to assist in the years to come.

I have studied Tui-na (Chinese Therapeutic Massage) and achieved certifications in acupuncture, physical rehabilitation, and Chinese food therapy. I have also spent time intensely studying Eastern and Western herbology, functional medicinal mushrooms, adaptogens, essential oil therapy, crystals, quantum interconnectedness, and cannabis medicine.
